TRIPLE DOODLE WEEK FLASHBACK DAY!

that's right, chibiifans! it's wensday (well, okay, it's four in the morning on thursday, but those are the hours I keep), and that's means it's flashback time! let's get this party started!

first off, the title characters from my ill-fated first comic, "K. Holmes and Bob". I call it 'ill-fated' because I didn't have a good-god-damned idea of how to draw back then. I couldn't even draw chins. CHINS, PEOPLE!

so yeah. I still like Holmes' eyes. and no, I don't know what's up with the bow tie.

allright... the original character designs for "bob's tavern". from the left: luci, nova, and bob. go ahead, guess which one I changed the most.

so yeah. apart from the normal evoluthon of characters, I mostly changed bob's look because (A) he looked too much like a certain character from Explotation Now, and (B) because people kept telling me those ears made him look like he had pigtails. looking back, this all seems very strange to me.

and finally, the original Roach and happy death... meeting the modern R&HD. ah, it is to laugh.

allright, time for another triple dose of doodle!

I've got a "political" bumper sticker on the skate. recently, someone went and put a sticker expressing the exact opposite view RIGHT ON TOP of my sticker. my first reaction was, well, a long string of curse words. but my second reaction was, "buncha savages in this town". hence, roach and happy death as dante and randal. it made sense at the time.

ah yes... this guy is easly the oldest character I ever designed. he shoud be appearing in a new series of graphic novels entitled "red skies" later this year. I really want to go back and color this one in. ah well.

and finally, happy death, in her non-chibii form, looking like she needs a serious haircut. FUN FACT: happy death sprung fully formed from my thoughts. as such, she has no need for a belly button, as you can see.

hey all.

since I'll be starting up bob's tavern again soon (I hope), I thought I'd give you all a primer on the main characters of this story. this also covers yesterday's todays' and tomorrow's chibiidoodle.

this is bob, owner and namesake of bob's tavern. he's your average-bar-tending-stick-figure-joe. or bob. whatever.

this is nova, musician, upstairs lodger and freelance bum. he's known for both his hangovers and their strange cures, and his almost endless list of former jobs.

this is luci. she's a mad scientist who's trying to take over the world from the comfort of her lab in the tavern's basement. she also waits tables and chain smokes.

and since those drawings have all depressed me throughougly, here's a detailed headshot of luciana. enjoy.
